Tuttle’s Kamryn Kuhlman – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Patriot Heat and Air

Driven by her passion for the sport of cheerleading and the tradition of the program at Tuttle High School, Kamryn Kuhlman knows that success requires commitment and hard work.

“I am so passionate about cheerleading because I love the excitement I get before my competition,” said the Tuttle senior, who first fell in love with cheerleading while in the seventh grade. “I love the environment of Friday night football games, when the band is playing, and the student section is yelling loud for you and the football team.”

The ever energetic and always encouraging Kuhlman is glad to be a part of the Tigers cheer squad; thankful for the life lessons she’s experienced in both practice and competition.

“Cheer has taught me the value of hard work and determination,” said “KamBam” as she’s known to her
coaches, teammates and best friends. “Tuttle has such a winning tradition and a high standard in both academics and in sports. I take pride in being a state champion, one of 18 titles in cheer won at Tuttle
as well as achieving a 4.0 grade point average.”

Cheer coach, Julia Clapper admires Kamryn’s leadership by example.

“She takes on the roles of being a flyer and a base. It’s great to have someone with her talents who can play multiple roles.”

Clapper also points out that there’s a funny side of the Tuttle senior.

“She’s got a great sense of humor that helps in times of intense pressure. Kamryn knows how to interject comic relief whenever it’s needed.”

Kamryn defines her approach to any situation as what leadership is all about.

“Leadership by example is about guiding and encouraging as well as showing the team what to do. I try to lead by doing the right thing to help them get through a hard practice with a positive attitude.”

Words like hard working and dependable are often used to describe Kamryn Kuhlman. But there’s one other trait that she strives to achieve in life as well as in cheer.

“Most important to me is being trustworthy. I’ve always tried to be there for my teammates and others around me because I want to see them succeed and get better individually.” With her “all for one-one for all approach, Kamryn Kuhlman is what continues the winning tradition at Tuttle High School.
