Blanchard’s Hudsen Periman – Football Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma City Meat Co.

Hudsen Periman, a football player from Blanchard High School, began his football career at the age of seven in a Chickasha little league, a start that would shape his athletic and personal life.

This year, Hudsen has witnessed remarkable camaraderie within his team. “Our team has the best chemistry I’ve seen in a team. We’re all close friends and stay after practice for hours and talk.” This strong bond is a testament to the dedication and mutual respect among the players at Blanchard High School, creating an environment where everyone is motivated to contribute.

As a versatile player, Hudsen is committed to supporting his team in any capacity necessary. “I provide for my team in any way possible, and the main goal is to win.” His ambitions for the season are clear: “My goals for this upcoming season are to win another state championship and grow closer to my team and God because nothing would be possible without Him.”

Hudsen’s resilience was tested last season with the passing of his grandfather. “The most challenging thing I’ve had to overcome during my football career was the passing of my grandpa midseason last year, so I played the rest of the season in honor of him.” Despite this emotional hurdle, he led his team to victory, marking the season’s highlight: “The highlight was definitely winning the state championship as the underdog. Nobody believed in us.”

Looking ahead, Hudsen envisions a future that includes playing college football and earning a degree. “I see myself playing college football in my future and getting a business degree.” The support from his community has been vital, with fans playing an integral role in the team’s success. “The community does so much for the team in Blanchard; they pack out all Friday night home games and most close away games.”

Hudsen’s biggest role models are his older brother and his dad. “On the field, my biggest role model would have to be my older brother. I loved watching him play on Friday nights when I was young. Off the field, I look up to my dad and how he strives every day to be the best he can be and pushes me to be great.”

Outside of football, Hudsen Periman enjoys fishing, playing baseball and spending time with family and friends. Reflecting on his achievements, he expressed gratitude: “I would like to thank my entire family. They come to my games and support me no matter what.”
