VYPE: How long have you played golf?
Peyton Cross: I have been playing since my seventh grade year in 2021.
VYPE: What first got you interested in the sport?
PC: My brothers started play during quarantine and I couldn’t do anything else, so I started going with them to Crimson Creek in El Reno.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory in your time competing for your high school?
PC: The time we had a putting contest in the hotel hallway the night before a tournament.
VYPE: Do you have any advice for someone just starting the sport?
PC: Remember that you’re playing a game and enjoy every second you get to spend at the course.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite course to play on?
PC: Roman Nose.
VYPE: What song hypes you up before a game?
PC: Jamming by Bob Marley.
VYPE: What is your go to post-game meal?
PC: A burrito from Qdoba.
VYPE: Who do you look to as a role model and why?
PC: My dad 100 percent because he works hard to provide for my family and gives me the opportunity to chase my dream.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
PC: To hopefully attend college and continue my golf career.
