Heading into his sophomore year, Trevor already has nearly a decade of experience under his belt. He’s been playing since first or second grade, and the game has been a huge part of his life ever since.
Being an athlete at Blanchard is something he takes a lot of pride in. “It’s special because of how much they care about us and support us,” he says. That support is on full display on Friday nights at their home field, his favorite place to play. “The atmosphere is great, it’s an amazing experience.”
On the field, he’s a fierce middle linebacker, but he also dreams of stepping up on offense as a tight end. He credits his mom as his biggest influence, saying, “She keeps me accountable and is always confident in me.” That encouragement fuels his drive to keep improving.
He’s especially impressed with the receiver group this season, noting how much work they’ve already put in to get better. One of the craziest plays he’s seen happened in the end zone. A bobbled pass that still managed to put the team ahead. His favorite game memory, though, came in last year’s opener when they scored three times in the first five minutes.
Pregame, Trevor listens to music and runs plays through his head, thinking through every possible situation. In the classroom, science is his favorite subject, and he’s quick to name Mrs. Clyma as his favorite teacher.
When it comes to role models, he looks up to Danny Stutsman. He admires the way Stutsman plays, his relentless work ethic, and the fact that he went on to OU. With his passion for the game, commitment to his team, and desire to keep growing, this young athlete is ready to make his mark this season.
