
VYPE: What grade are you in and when did you start playing football? What position do you play now?
Jett Holland: I’m going into the 9th grade, and I started playing football in the 5th grade. I am playing wide receiver and outside linebacker.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the field?
JH: My mom has been the biggest influence in my life. She is a hard worker and has taught me to do the same.
VYPE: What moment stands out to you the most during your time as a football player?
JH: The most memorable moment was playing our rival Tuttle on their field and scoring the only touchdown to win.
VYPE: How do you mentally prepare for a game?
JH: It’s simple. To mentally prepare for a game I lock in!
VYPE: What other clubs or groups are you involved in at school?
JH: I am involved in Student Council and National Honor Society at Blanchard High School.
VYPE: What is something that the scoreboard will never reflect about you or your team?
JH: The scoreboard will never reflect how hard my team, and I work off the field.
VYPE: What has changed most about how you approach the game since your very first season?
JH: What has changed most about how I approach the game is that I have gotten more aggressive.
VYPE: What was the biggest risk you’ve taken as a player and was it worth it?
JH: The biggest risk I’ve taken as a player is playing new positions. So far it has been worth it.
VYPE: How do you define mental toughness, and when was the last time you really had to dig for it?
JH: To me, mental toughness means not letting the other team get in my head. Holding the opposing team at the goal line to keep the lead.
