VYPE: Lane, what position do you play and what’s the toughest thing about that position?
Lane Seaton: I play short stop, and what’s tough about it is the volume of ground balls that you get which puts a lot of pressure on you.
VYPE: What’s the strength of your game and what have you improved on the most coming into the new season?
LS: A strength of my game is my hitting abilities. Something I am working to improve is my speed. I have room to improve there.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
LS: My favorite thing about Newcastle and my teammates is the brother hood and culture that we have.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
LS: What inspires me is people ahead of me. That’s what drives me to be better.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject in school? What about a favorite teacher?
LS: My favorite subject in school is History. It’s one of the things that draws my attention.
VYPE: Tell us your favorite moment from your playing career.
LS: My favorite moment from my Career so far was our win in last year’s state tournament.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
LS: The teammate who is the most vocal and gets everyone laughing is Kaden Longman. He always has something to say about.
VYPE: What have athletics tough you that you will use throughout life?
LS: Athletics has taught me a lot about discipline and that there is always something to improve on. Sports has taught me that I will use in life is time management.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
LS: In my free time I am always hunting or doing things with the guys. We golf all of the time.
