TUTTLE TIGERS

Coach: BRAD BALLARD

13-1

OFFENSE

The Tigers were oh so close to raising the gold ball at Chad Richison Stadium at the University of Central Oklahoma. Tuttle and Elgin staged an epic heavyweight Class 4A title fight with the Owls coming out on top 29-22. Tuttle finished with a winning record for a Class 4A standard, 30th consecutive year in 2024, with a mark of 13-1. Cruz Campbell (6-0, 200, Sr.) was a perfect fit for the Tigers at quarterback. Campbell tossed 40 touchdown passes with only three interceptions in his first season at the school. Jalen Lane (5-10, 165, Jr.) and his twin brother Jordan Lane (5-10, 165, Jr.) also played huge roles a year ago. Jalen totaled 503 receiving yards and two touchdowns while Jordan added 17 receptions for 370 yards and three touchdowns. Jett McCoy (6-3, 170, Sr.) should see some increased playing time at the position after focusing on defense a year ago. Donnie Schluter (5-11, 165, So.) made an immediate impact at the varsity level, averaging 28 yards per reception and scoring three touchdowns. Running back Shawn Rounsaville Jr. (6-0, 200, Sr.) is more than a handful to tackle. Rounsaville is a punishing ball carrier that accounted for 1,524 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior. He carried the ball 235 times with only one fumble. Tyson Kennedy (5-10, 185, Sr.) spent the spring with the baseball team after moving in from Enid at Christmas. Kennedy can line up at any number of multiple positions on offense. Two starters return on the offensive line. Gavin Hines (6-3, 230, Jr.) will be at right tackle with Eli Clark (6-4, 245, Sr.) at guard. Blake Schneeberger (6-5, 300, So.) comes over from Southmoore and has potential to jump in the mix right away. The Tigers are also very good in the kicking game behind veteran Garrett Ogg (5-10, 155, Sr.).

DEFENSE

There will be depth up front on a defensive line that should be improved from a year ago. Cale Harryman (6-3, 315, So.) showed incredible toughness as a freshman at noseguard. He’s only going to get better and better as his career progresses. Noah Herring (6-3, 245, Sr.) is a newcomer that will fit in nicely in an otherwise young group of defenders. Tanner Burnham (6-2, 210, So.) and Hunter Hillicoss (5-10, 215, So.) will play on the edge of the Tigers’ front. Tuttle will feature virtually an entirely new group at linebacker. Behr Vargas (5-11, 180, So.), Major Vanderburg (5-11, 175, Jr.), Turner Lemming (6-0, 195, So.) and Will Garrett (5-11, 235, Sr.) are all waiting their turn to be the next up at the position. Brodie Fisher (6-1, 210, Sr.) and Slade Snider (6-0, 205, Jr.) were standouts for Christian Heritage Academy in 2024 and should be contributors in their new home. The secondary is loaded with speed and skill. Tyson Kennedy and Jett McCoy return at safety with both Jordan and Jalen Lane at corner along with Donny Schluter. Jalen Lane made 55 tackles with two interceptions and Jordan Lane had 39 tackles and one interception. The entire secondary features great speed across the board.
