
9 Questions with Donnie Schluter of Tuttle HS
VYPE: Donnie, what grade are you in this year and what position are you playing?
Donnie Schluter: I am a sophomore. I will be playing wide receiver, corner back and safety.
VYPE: What do you love most about the game and your teammates at THS?
DS: We get to all go to battle together as a family and play the game we love.
VYPE: Besides football, what other activities are you involved in at school?
DS: I’m in FCCLA and I play basketball and track.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school, and do you have a favorite teacher?
DS: My favorite subject in school is math and my favorite teacher was my teacher in first grade, Mrs. Truelove.
VYPE: It’s early but have you given any thought to what you would like to do after you graduate?
DS: I would like to go to college for football or basketball after I graduate.
VYPE: How would we find you spending your free time when you have it?
DS: In my free time I really just play sports and hangout with my friends.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
DS: My inspiration is Kobe Bryant for how hard he works on the court and off the court. My favorite quote from Kobe is, “Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise.”
VYPE: Is there a game on the schedule you look forward to playing?
DS: The game I’m most looking forward to is definitely Blanchard. It’s always a good game and the environment versus your rival is a different kind of feeling.
