9 Questions with Newcastle Baseballer Christian Deloera – Presented by Landers
VYPE: What position are you playing and what makes that spot difficult to master?
Christian Deloera: I play catcher and the toughest thing about playing there is you have to know what’s going at all times and you can’t be scared of getting beat up back there.
VYPE: What is the strength of your game and what are you working to improve?
CD: I would say the strength of my game is definitely my hitting and I would like to improve my catching just a little bit more.
VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?
CD: The thing I love the most about my team and teammates is that we are very competitive and there’s never a dull moment with our team.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
CD: My parents inspire me the most because they do everything they can to provide for me and my family and that means a lot to me.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school, and do you have a favorite teacher?
CD: My favorite subject is Aviation, and my favorite teacher is Mr. Heatly.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory competing with your team?
CD: My favorite memory would probably be my sophomore year when I hit two home runs against Westmoore to help beat them.
VYPE: What do you enjoy when you have some free time?
CD: I enjoy hanging out with friends and family during my free time or watching documentaries.
VYPE: Which teammate is the most vocal and who keeps everyone laughing?
CD: I would say the most vocal would be Tyler Frazier and the one that makes everyone laugh would be Lane Seaton and Kaden Longman
VYPE: What has being in athletics taught you that you can use in life?
CD: Athletics has really taught me how to work as a team.
